Some updates finally

This article is to record a big step in my life, and I finally got the time to make something like "conclusion" or "updates" to summarize all changes happened to me.

 

Having been working in Maersk in Copenhagen for 2 yrs and struggling myself at the position of "Economist" / "Financial analyst" , I finally switch to the industry I have always been longing for. All endeavors pay out. Thanks for all my best friends’ support…..Gigi, Solon, Professor Lin, Yan, and my dearest parents who have been caring about me as always. I promise I will not make you disappointed no matter what I have to take. Last but not least, I’d like to share some of my inspirations about job.

 

It takes a good deal of self-knowledge to know what you are specialized in,which industry can become the long lasting platform, and which position suits your personality most. Then think what you want to do next, choose to go ‘n get it rather than stay the current place that for the moment seems safe. It takes commitment to personal growth to give up career complacency and embrace a challenging learning curve through your career. Undoubtedly, you’ll hear ppl keep saying that you’ better get satisfied with the current job and just focus on it, sticking to it for at least 3 yrs. But why should you take time out of your life to spend your days doing something you know is not right for you?

No career is interesting if it’s not engaging and challenging, and your most important job is to find that. Do not settle for outdated workplace models that accept complacency and downplay self-knowledge. Sure, the job market is tough nowadays, but that’s no reason to settle.
